I woke up to the pitter patter of rain against the window sill and a heavy feeling fell over me as I realized it was my very last day here
I rose slowly and lethargically and stumbled into the family room to do some blog reading which immediately cheered me up a bit!
Once everyone was up and about we all started in on breakfast+coffee
I finished up the majority of my fresh fruit and yogurt for breakfast on this rainy morning.
I crumbled another peanut butter cookie Larabar over the top. This seriously tastes like a decadent treat! The flavors of the vanilla Chobani along with the chewy texture of the peanut butter bar is just too good. I’m definitely going to do this more often!
The fruit was perfectly ripened – juicy and refreshing!
This was a definite party in my mouth
Time to spend every last second together that we can possibly squeeze in!! I may be able to get a lunch post in before leaving but if not I’ll see you from the land of New Jersey!

A good run always gets my mind away from everything and puts me right back into a good mood! Plus knowing that I got in a good workout for the day cheers me up even more!
I was just looking for some new breakfast ideas & I LOVE me some Lara Bars! I WILL be trying this : )
Jessica – YAY! You won’t regret it!!
That brekkie looks amazing! Chocolate always cheers me up!
Aww… don’t be sad! Enjoy your last day with your family as much as possible! I do this, too… when my sisters come to visit
That breakfast is just beyond yummy!!! I now need to get some more pb larabars to use with my yogurt
Thanks for the idea!
When I’m sad… a great work out always helps, along with watching Finding Nemo… lol… sounds silly but it’s my “happy movie”! ANd of course.. .ice cream never hurts
Enjoy your day!
Mandy – Glad you liked the idea! I promise you won’t go back when it comes to the yogurt + larabar combo! It’s to die for
Whoa. I love PB Larabars as well as Greek yogurt but have never thought to put the two together! That sounds amazing, and I think I’m going to try it ASAP.
Meghan – I DEFINITELY suggest it! It’s SOOOO good!
I love the larabar and yogurt idea especially because I bought a huge pack of them at costco!
Maya – A COSTCO sized box of Larabars?! WHAT COULD BE BETTER!
Seeing my dog, Pudge wag his tail always cheers me up. He’s an English Bulldog so his tail is really short and when he wags his whole body shakes!
Haha! He sounds adorable Valerie!
I have to a agree a great workout/run always does the trick and puts me in a great mood! Last week I was completely off all week because I was turning (gulp) 40 on Sunday. The runs each night absolutely helped put me in a better place. And now Sunday and my Bday has come and gone and I am still the same person…Who happened to have a very fun weekend!
Sounds like you had a great trip to Atlanta!
Happy Belated Birthday! And I agree – a great workout/run has the power to pretty much cure EVERYTHING!
Guys – LOVED your suggestions. I now have about 18 things on my list of things I can do if I get back home and still have the leaving-my-sister-blues!
YOU ALL ROCK!
Loud music + dancing around like a crazy person. In public or my bedroom. With a live band or the radio.
Feel better!
Jennifer – HAHA! I love this!
What a great idea for the larabar on top of yogurt! That DOES sound decadent! When I’m feeling blue, a good dance around my room usually does the trick
Or going to Costco. yes…strange!
Tay – Not strange! I totally love Costco! I actually worked there for a summer home from college I loved it so much
a massage, or a kiss from my doggie and husband. the latter is much cheaper.
