Light at the End of the Tunnel

by Cait on July 31, 2009

Guys – thank you SO much for all your kind comments!  They really cheered me up and turned my frown upside down!

I’m now safe and sound at my childhood home in Connecticut for the weekend awaiting the arrival of my sister, Patrick and Clara so things are definitely on the up and up!

I’m not much of a drinker but I DID make sure to treat myself to a nice honkin’ pizza from my favorite place in town :)

Just a plain ol’ cheese pie -

Is that the not the perfect motto for me?!

With a delicious side salad -

I HAD to get some greens in somehow today!

It was 100% delicious in all it’s greasy glory

Really it just felt good to eat a REAL MEAL!  I  can’t wait to eat three, well-balanced meals tomorrow!

I have some black raspberry frozen yogurt in the fridge from the last time I was home so I’m thinkin’ I’ll have to break into that for dessert.

Lastly, but certainly not least -

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU all for being my light throughout this terrible day!  You guys all seriously feel like my good friends and totally have the power to pull me out of my ruts!  I am so grateful for all of you!

-

See you all tomorrow!  I PROMISE to have a smile on my face!!

This is so funny- I had pretty much the exact same dinner tonight from My Place, except we got Margherita!

That was a perfect ending to your day–comfort from your home. I love doing that–and go to bed optimistic for the day ahead. :)

glad your day turned out well :) i hate having those days! I had to throw away a perfectly good coffee at the airport the other day and it was one I had BOUGHT in that same airport! they just wouldn’t let me take it to the next section. i was mad about that.

hope you have a great weekend!

Brandi – UGH! That happened to me once too! I stupidly bought it RIGHT before security completely forgetting that I couldn’t take it in. I was so devastated!

Yum! Connecticut and NY pizza are seriously the best. I’m from Mass and the pizza just doesn’t compare! :)

Glad you made it home safe. That pizza looks like perfection! I haven’t had good cheese pizza in forever (or pizza in forever for that matter). Get some rest and enjoy some excellent food :)
