Perfect Saturday

by Cait on August 29, 2009

Hello Blogworld!

It’s been a perfect little Saturday so far! Days like this just put me in the best mood!

Neither Mike nor I were hungry first thing this morning so we decided to make a brunch of it.

Therefore I kicked off the day with a delicious mug of coffee -

I don’t know what I did, but I definitely did something right with it because it was absolutely fabulous!

Even Bruce wanted in on the action! ;)

After I had a few hours of Everwood under my belt ( :D ) Mike and I headed out to get our favorite weekend treat:

Bagels!

There are a few places in Hoboken that we love, but today we settled on the one we frequent most since it’s been a while – Sunrise Bagels.

They have the fluffiest, most delicious bagels ever. PLUS they have egg whites, turkey bacon and sausage and other healthy options and I always tend to respect and favor those places most ;)

I got a simple sandwich of egg whites on a whole wheat bagel -

I wasn’t feeling any meat today, but when I am, I add some turkey sausage or taylor ham.

On the side I continued to bring the early Fall with my dishes and candles :)

It was absolutely perfect! Filled me up but didn’t leave me feeling overly stuffed :D

It was such a nice brunch together filled with conversation and yummy eats!

Afterwards I dropped Mike off at the train station so he can finish up what will hopefully be his LAST baseball game of the season! Pray that the rain holds off for him!!

And on my way back to my apartment, I just couldn’t resist stopping into CVS for a couple little Fall treats :)

Mmmmmm.

Mountains of deliciousness.

I love to keep these guys in the fridge for after-dinner when I’m craving something a little sweet. Cold chocolate is pretty much the best thing in the world – am I wrong? ;)

I also picked up this little cutie:

How adorable is this?! A little candle that looks and smells like an apple pie!

I just love little things like this…but I’m beginning to realize where all my money goes now…haha!

I’m off to finish the VERY LAST episode of Everwood! SO SAD :’(

Hope you’re all having wonderfully fun Saturdays guys!

See you all for dinner :)

Everwood!! Ahh that was THE show my mom and I had to watch when I was in junior high/high school (??) !

I miss EPHRAM!!! Haahaaa…..

Gorgeous, gorgeous pictures! That egg white bagel sounds delicious. But I bet it would have been even BETTER with some salsa or hot sauce! ;)

Jessica – EVERYONE tells me to put hot sauce on my eggs and I forget everytime! I’ll have to try it tomorrow if I have them!

And YAY for Everwood love! Most people don’t know what I’m talking about when I talk about that show. I’m OBSESSED!

Love the Boston mug!!! I live in Boston, but I have the Chicago one haha. Love your bagel with egg whites, it looks tasty and so simple. I can’t wait for halloween!!! All those fall colors get me so psyched for the fall season. Everything gets all cozy and the food is so comforting hahha.

Coco – YAY for another Fall lover! So many people have been commenting on not liking it because it brings winter and it’s devastating to me! Haha. I LOVE LOVE LOVE fall and couldn’t agree more with you about everything getting all cozy and the food being amazingly comforting :) We are SO the same person!

OOh, Fall, Fall, Fall! I can feel it in the air today and it makes me want to put on a hoodie and drink warm, frothy coffee. And, you are so right about cold chocolate – it rivals frozen cookies. The perfect after dinner sweet in my mind. Even better when they are packaged so festively like yours are! Hope Mike’s game was a go…

Katie – That’s exactly what I did! Hoodie, sweatpants, coffee and Everwood. It was seriously like the most perfect day ever! Haha. And I agree…though I don’t know that I could ever pick a favorite between cold chocolate and frozen cookies…is it weird that I still dream about your frozen cookie pieces sometimes?! Haha.

That candle could possibly be the cutest thing I have ever seen in my life! I want to eat it though…probably would not taste as good as it looks.

You are making me want fall to come even more! I love Fall and am ready for cool weather. It is still so hot here!
