Enchiladas and Cupcakes

Evening All!

Mike and I had ourselves quite a nice little Friday night. We walked uptown to the larger version of our favorite Mexican Restaurant in Hoboken – Charritos.

Mike insisted on grabbing some wine for Sangria but I think he was regretting that decision when half the pitcher was still left at the end of the meal! Haha. He did his best to finish it off but I think there was still a little left by the time we paid the check. Mike does NOT like wasting money/food/drinks so he was not happy about that. I’ve seriously come home and seen him eating the most bizarre mixtures of food just because he would gather everything that was about to go old, throw it in a bowl and call it a meal! It’s really disgusting, but hey – I guess I shouldn’t complain because at least he’s not wasting!

Along with our Sangria we got fresh tortilla chips, salsa and hand-made guacamole (made right at our table!)

For my entree I got the shrimp enchiladas (sans cheese) which came with refried beans, rice and pico de gallo. It was SO delicious. I devoured pretty much the whole plate (plus my fair share of chips, salsa and guac!)

On our walk home we passed by Sweet and I just couldn’t resist popping in…

How can you when THESE are glaring out at you from the window??

We left with a delicious box of goodies.

We haven’t dug in yet so you’ll just have to wait and see until we do to see what we got!
