Rainy, Rainy, Rainy

by Cait on March 30, 2010

Well it’s been exactly that around here – rain, rain and more rain. It’s supposed to clear up by tomorrow – so fingers crossed! I miss my outdoor running!! But whatever, as long as it’s nice for Easter weekend I’ll be a happy camper :)

Day 2 of Jillian’s Shred went just as well as Day 1. It actually felt a little bit harder than Day 1 just because I was a little sore from the previous day’s shredding. I’m going to stick with Level One for the 30 days then move on to Level Two for the next 30…does anyone know if that’s how it’s intended to be used? Let me know!

After shredding I dug into an egg white wrap on a Joseph’s lavash with a big ol’ coffee with soy milk.

It was delicious but it definitely didn’t hold me over as well as yesterday’s spelt bagel & egg. However work kept me so busy that I didn’t have time to break for something to eat until lunch time anyway!

Lunch was very uncreative…I promise I’ll get better after my Easter fast is over!

Smart Deli Turkey, avocado, mustard and lettuce all on toasted multigrain w. a big juicy orange.

During our long afternoon meeting I broke into an Odwalla bar. I forgot to take a picture, but it looked a little something (or a lot) like this:

When I got home I was STARRRRVING and I quickly made up some Mustard Dill Salmon that I had with a side salad and a hunk of multigrain bread.

It totally hit the spot.

Mike and I have a big night of TV ahead of us (Biggest Loser AND LOST) so there may be some kettlecorn thrown in there :D

Until tomorrow!

Good luck with the shredding! I have never been able to keep up with it for an entire month simply because I think it gets so repetitive. I typically alternate between exercises so I don’t get sick of them.

Hi Caitlin, I did Jillian’s 30 Day Shred and spent 10 days on each level. It was good that way, otherwise I bet you’ll get bored with the same thing day after day for 30 days! Now that I’ve finished that, I’ll pick a level and do it about 2 times a week just to supplement running and yoga! Hope that helps :)

I have the shred video! Just a suggestion – you may want to try the other levels based on your motivation to work out that day. It will mix up the exercises and help you from getting bored with doing the same routine for a month. Try the hard if you are seriously feeling like kicking some butt and modify the exercises as needed (I do)! the next time level 1 will feel like a treat :)

Hahah, when I read “Mike and I have a big night of TV ahead of us (Biggest Loser AND LOST)”…I thought maybe I typed that myself! Unfortunately, our schedules right now prevent us from watching any TV until THURSDAY, so we DVR it all and then have a big lounge fest on Thursday night. I can’t wait!!

Also, that salmon is a beauty. I hope the weather clears up soon for you. :-)

Oh, and I loved that you (or Mike) referred to me as “Cake Katie” the other day…that’s the best nickname I’ve ever had.

Oh, one more thing…I just did the Shred for 30 days TOTAL. The first few I did level one, and then I alternated between levels two and three for the rest of the time (they seemed pretty similar in terms of intensity to me…) Good luck!
