Well, yesterday was a bright and Sunny Saturday and today was the complete opposite!
It was a rainy, dreary Sunday but that didn’t stop Mike and I from making the best of it! You only have 2 days of weekend, so there’s no time to waste!
There was only one thing on my mind when I woke up this morning -
QUAKER OATMEAL SQUARES!!
I picked up a box of these yesterday and was so excited to wake up this morning to eat them! I don’t even think I was hungry, but I didn’t care – you guys know me and my Quaker love
I of course had my coffee alongside. A perfect start to a Sunday if you ask me!
After eating I thought about all the things that I should be doing (laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning…) and proceeded to do none of it! It’s something about this weather – it just makes me want to curl up on my couch with a DVD. So that’s exactly what I did!
Around noon however Mike and I got enough energy to get up in go into the city for lunch and a movie!
We stopped at Cosi on our way to the theater and enjoyed a really nice meal together. I chose the Hummus & Veggie on whole grain with baby carrots
Then it was time foooor -
THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO!!
Someone in my office had mentioned that this was in theaters and I did a little research and found that it was in one near us! The entire movie was in subtitles, and of course the book is better (when isn’t it??) but overall they stayed pretty true to the book itself – I’d definitely recommend it!
Movie snacks included mine and Mike’s go-to:
I love this kettlecorn. It’s the closest I’ve ever tasted to fresh.
The movie was loooong. Over 2.5 hours – so by the time it was over and we were home, I was really starting to get hungry again.
I could’ve made something, but in keeping with my laziness, I chose to just reheat the last two slices of pizza I had leftover in the freezer -
I added a little salad on the side so as to get some greens in and that was that!
Hopefully you guys were able to have a bit more productive of a Sunday than I did, haha.
Enjoy the rest of your night and try not to dread the work week too much!
