I actually accomplished most of what I wanted to this afternoon – thank goodness!
Then I headed out and met up with Mike for some Sushi (it was ALL I wanted in this hot weather)
There were some drinks:
I guzzled my water so quickly it was unbelievable.
I wasn’t such a fan of the “Peach Tea” beverage I got (stolichnaya peachik, sweetened ice tea, cranberry juice).
It sounded good.
It looked really good.
But unfortunately it just wasn’t good.
Oh well. You win some you lose some. Mike really liked his beer!
We ordered edamame to start (because strangely we were both really hungry even though it was super early)
LOVED the colored sea salt on it.
We devoured that entire bowl.
Then it was sushi time.
I got the usual.
It wasn’t the best sushi I’ve ever had – but it was still good (and they had brown rice which is another bonus!)
You certainly would never know it wasn’t the best we’ve ever had by looking at our plates. Haha.
It started to downpour while we were eating and it was SO great! We just sat covered by the awning listening to the rain. I don’t think our waitress was very happy about it, but what can you do!
And now I’m happily inside my warm, dry apartment eating a Cookies ‘n Cream ice cream bar (complete with crazy rain hair and all 
)

Haha I know right!? And I’m not sure I can call myself a “sushi fan” either because I really only eat veggie/cooked fish sushi so it’s kind of cheating
I have not had sushi in ages…. SO going to get some when in CA next week (did I just shreek with excitement?!?)

We love sushi at our house! It’s my 7 year olds favorite food. Man, I would love some of that rain. It hasn’t rained here in ages.
Ugh I’m so sorry – we FINALLY got some but it doesn’t seem to be cooling anything down at all which is incredibly frustrating! I’ll try to send some your way!
I’ve never seen brown rice sushi here! ‘Nother reason I need to get myself to the States

I love the artistic flair that went into that sushi! Brown rice sushi is pretty rare in the UK, but I did make it myself and it wasn’t bad at all
