Peachy Saturday

by Cait on July 30, 2011

Ahhh Saturday.

It feels so nice to have nothing but a relaxing day ahead of me.

I wanted another bagel and egg sandwich this morning, but I figured for the sake of the blog (and my palate) I should switch it up.

So switch it up I did:

Using some of my newly purchased dishes (!!!)[ <-- yes, new dishes make me happy. It's not sad. ] I made a big old bowl of peach oats:

Into the bowl went:

  • 1/3 cup oats
  • 1/2 tbsp ground flax
  • 1/2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 sliced peaches (they were small)
  • 2/3 cup water

Topped with:

The peaches were hiding a bit so I pulled them out for you to see :)

My sister will be here in a little and we’re packing up our stuff and heading off to a nice week-long getaway in Vermont! Can’t wait!

I have been to a Sushi Lounge as well and agree that its definitely not the best sushi you can get! I prefer a little hole in the wall kinda place in town!

That granola looks so good on top of everything! It almost makes it look like peach crisp… any kind of fruit crisp is one of my favorite desserts!

I’m a total repeat offender when it comes to breakfast. Sometimes I think that I need to switch it up for the sake of variety, or having something more interesting to show on the blog, but I can never seem to do it… I just love my standard almond butter/pudding oats way too much!
