I like experimenting with brownies. They make such a great base for other decadent flavors.
So I decided to go back to my beloved brownie base and create something truly evil delicious.

Peanut butter.
Chocolate.

Brownies.
Candy.

Yum yum.
And so easy too. I literally just grabbed my favorite boxed brownie mix, threw Reese’s Minis into the mix and baked it according to the box directions.
For the peanut butter ganache I used 1 cup smooth peanut butter + 1 tbsp shortening (for a nice sheen) then drizzled melted semi-sweet chocolate chips over the that.

Go ahead. Go make these. You won’t regret it
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Brownies
Ingredients:
For the Brownies:
- 1 box of your favorite brownie mix (you can make your favorite scratch-made brownies too!)
- 1/2 – 1 bag of Reese’s Minis
- 1/2 – 1 cup peanut butter (depending on how peanut buttery you want the ganache
- 1 – 2 tbsp. shortening
Directions:
- Make the brownie mix according to box instructions.
- Add in 1/2 – 1 bag of Reese’s Minis (totally your preference on how much you want in there) to the mix and fold gently until well combined.
- Pour batter into greased pan (the size will be listed on the back of the brownie mix box).
- Bake the brownies according to the box instructions or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- When the brownies come out of the oven, allow to cool for up to a half hour.
- Meanwhile, combine peanut butter and shortening into a heat-proof bowl and place over a pot of boiling water. Stir vigorously until all the shortening is melted and the mixture is glossy and smooth.
- Pour over cooled brownies and drizzle with additional melted chocolate (optional).

Oh my word. These are dangerous. They look amazing!
Haha they definitely are dangerous but SO amazing!
where the heck do you find how to make these lol .. i must be blind :S
Haha you’re not blind – it’s at the very bottom. I simply took my favorite brownie box mix, added half a bag of Reese’s Minis and baked according to the instructions. Then I topped with peanut butter and drizzled that with more melted chocolate
How many Reese’s minis should I put in?
However many you like! I used about half a king-sized bag of Reese’s Minis.
Love Reese’s!!!
How do i make them?? i dont know how to Bake! HELP!!
Hi Barbara – I simply took my favorite brownie box mix, added half a king-sized bag of Reese’s Minis and baked according to the instructions. Then I topped with peanut butter and drizzled that with more melted chocolate.
I’ve never found a boxed mix that tastes very good but I do have a favorite triple chocolate brownie recipe that would make these out of this world!
Definitely use it! The box mix is a time saver but you can’t beat the taste of homemade!
Wow….got my mouth watering. Soo making these when I get off work.
Haha yay!
As far as the ganache goes, do you just mix the peanut butter and shortening? Or how does it work exactly? First time doing these, but I definitely don’t want to mess them up! =)
I would recommend doing peanut butter and shortening for that glossy look
These are going to be making several appearances at my tailgate parties this year! If word gets out I may have 10,000 of my closest friends raiding my tent in the Grove in Oxford, MS!
Ahahaha – I love that!
What type of brownie mix do you use???
Whatever your favorite type is! I used the Pillsbury® Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix
I’d make one suggestion to try….dark chocolate reese’s they now have and chop them up rather than using the mini’s…other than that, huge thumbs up
Oooh I like that idea! Thanks for the suggestion
I have a question. my daughter needs brownies for a key club bake sale and a friend showed me these. Obviously I can’t put the peanut butter on top because it will stick to the plastic wrap and make a mess but can anyone tell me of i drizzle which ever type of chips i decide to use will it harden enough when it cools to be wrapped and not make a smeared mess?
They should harden just fine! These are delicious even without the topping though!
Wheres the recipe o and that looks goooooooooooooood
Hey Xavier – I used my favorite boxed brownie mix and added about 1/2 a bag of Reese’s Minis to the batter then baked according to the directions. Once it cooled I spread some peanut butter on top then drizzled some more melted chocolate to top it off
Where’s the recipe for these thanks
Hey Danny – I simply used my favorite boxed brownie mix and added about 1/2 a bag of Reese’s Minis to the batter then baked according to the directions. Once it cooled I spread some peanut butter on top then drizzled some more melted chocolate to top it off
Ok details I am not a baker by trade so the Reese’s Mini’s how much do you add? 1/2 a cup, cup………going to make these for my birthday present to me!
Oh good! I think I used about 1/2 the bag of the reese’s minis but add more if you’d like!
And happy birthday!

These are fabulous and oh-so-easy. Thx for sharing!
Of course! Enjoy
If get fat and regret it, i’m holding you responsible!
Hahaha – fair enough!
Making four boxes of these for big party tomorrow. Can I use margarine instead of shortening?? Or do I need a shortening like crisco?
I’ve never tried with anything other than shortening (it just gives the peanut butter a nice sheen) but you could test it in a small amount (1 tbsp. peanut butter + 1 tsp. or margarine) and see if it works!
This was amazing, i just got done makeing it
Oh yay! I’m so glad to hear it!
Going to try these
Yay! Let me know what you think
Those brownies were sooooooooooooooooooooooo good. This is one I don’t have to print. Got it stored in my brain.

Happy New Year to you as well!
Yes, you have achieved a glorious new level in “evil-ness” You should have slapped some cream cheese in there too… (mwhuuhahahahahahaha) I will try this..but I will have to share it somewhere, as I can’t eat that much ( blood sugar) … blast it!
