Morning!

I woke up and went out straight for a run!

Quick and easy but I was happy to get it in.
When I came back and showered I struggled with the oats or yogurt decision. I wanted oats, but I also wanted yogurt. It went back and forth in my mind until finally I just decided to do BOTH!
Made even better when I realized I was at the end of a Sunflower Seed Butter jar!!

I immediately filled it right up, plopped myself in front of the fireplace and went to town.

Mmm mmm good.

Into the jar went:
- 1/3 cup Coach’s Oats (prepared with 1/2 cup water)
- 1/3 cup 0% Plain Chobani
- Sliced strawberries
- Trader Joe’s Sunflower Seed Butter

All stirred up and devoured!

Finished off with some coffee:

Happy Monday people!

We had the same breakfast this morning. I’d been saving my pb jar though for the perfect oiaj day

I had been DYING to get to the end of mine! So, so good!!
Oats in a jar never gets old…heck anything in a jar is just extra special! Sounds like you started your day off on the right foot! I hope you have an amazing day Cait!
I just got to the bottom of my nut butter jar. OIAJ is in my future!
Have a good Monday!
Yaaaay! There’s really nothing better!! Enjoy
An empty jar of oiaj? A nice run? A hot cup of coffee? Successful morning!
Haha thank you!! I agree – if only all mornings could be this way!
Your short but fast runs are inspiring me to get out there and run bright and early, despite the freezing weather, which is a near-impossible feat for me at this time of year. Thanks for that! Also, your b-fast looks deeeelish. Happy Monday to you!
Aw yay! I’m so glad. It’s definitely worth it to get out there and get it done!
Yum! I wanna try coach oats
You definitely should! Do they have them in Canada?
Looks delicious! I”m going to make it now.
But, how do you prepare coach’s oats with less water than directed on the package? Do you make the oats hot or cold or boil then cool?
Yay! I prepare the Coach’s Oats with usually a little more water than suggested and I make them hot!
I usually microwave them according to the instructions on the package but when I have the time, I prefer to do them over the stovetop
Thanks! Love your site. I read it everyday.
Follow-up question. Did you cool the cooked oats before mixing with the yogurt?
Oh wonderful – nothing makes me happier than to hear that! I cooked the oats and immediately added them to the sunflower butter jar (so that the sunflower butter would get all melty), let it sit for a bit and then added the strawberries and yogurt
I love oats in a jar! i need to try coach’s oats!
You definitely do! They’re delicious!
That sounds like such a good idea. I need to trying mixing oats and yogurt!

The thought of having a fire in the morning is so calming- we always have them in the evening [since we're usually out all day], but I wanna have one some morning next weekend!
Definitely do it!! It’s so cozy!
Aww, I love that little sheep ornament! And those strawberries – how are you still finding bright, vibrant strawberries?! Gorgeous. Happy Monday to you!

They definitely don’t! I love em! And yeah – I’m hanging on to strawberries for as long as possible!
Yum! This post confirms it- I desperately need to restock my sunflower seed butter supply. I’ve gone way too long without it.
Yes! Do it!! The most I can ever last is a couple days without it!
I’m so jealous because I was going to have OIAJ this morning, but last night I finished off the jar just spooning it out…ya, I couldn’t wait until the AM haha
Haha oh no! Well there’s always the next jar – if you go through them like I do that will come in no time!
Never compromise!
I’m glad you got both things you wanted for breakfast – it looked delicious!
P.S. I love your reindeer mug!
