What a trip this has been so far!
For the rest of the afternoon yesterday, rather than exploring, I opted for a nap followed by some pool/hot tub time.
I think it was the right call. My body needed to ease into the change in altitude (not to mention the recovery from travel). I felt MUCH better after.
Dinner was at the Boulder ChopHouse & Tavern and was absolutely amazing. Not a thing I tried that I didn’t like! Highly recommend it if you ever find yourself in Boulder (which you should because I’m pretty sure it’s just about one of my favorite places on this planet).
It was a nice early bedtime after dinner and boy did that sleep feel good!
I arose well rested and with one overarching thought on my mind:
COFFEE.
So coffee it was.
Followed by…..
Time with my two favorite girls (and Meeker!) on the planet!!
Katie, Meeker and Baby A were kind enough to drive up to Boulder to visit while I was here!
Best. Birthday. Present. EVER.
And for those of you that think Adrienne is cute on Katie’s blog? Let me tell you, she’s 1000x more adorable in person.
Katie and Meeker went to college in Boulder so they were able to show me around a bit more and give me some background on what’s what in Boulder (thanks guys!)
We actually ended up going to lunch at the very first place Katie ever ate in Boulder!
The menu was vast and definitely took Katie, Adrienne and I a while to work our way through.
After finally coming to the realization that I couldn’t in fact ask for a sample of everything on it, I decided to try the Veggie Burger.
It was absolutely a good choice. SO delicious.
I seriously have yet to eat one thing in Boulder that I don’t just absolutely love.

After we ate we hung out a bit more, walked around Pearl Street (where Katie introduced me to the BEST kitchen store I’ve ever seen (aka Bed, Bath and Beyond, right Meeker? Seriously though, it’s dangerous that I now know that it exists) and just enjoyed our time together!
I’m now holed up back in Amante Coffee, soy cafe au lait in hand, blogging about this great day and missing those 3 dearly!
Thank you again guys for making the trip! It was SO great to see you! I already can’t wait to see you again!!
Time to go do some more exploring (for real this time)!

Not even a little weird. I’ve done it about 16 times today for that exact same reason! I think I’ve said “I just LOVE Katie” out loud to anyone that would listen about 500 times since you left.

My boyfriend went to CU in boulder, and one of our favorite date-night desserts was a martini glass full of gelato from Amanti’s. They would put baileys or kahlua over the top – so delicious. I haven’t ever found another place that will do that!

It was a Bed, Bath and Beyond for kitchens. Kitchen is implied in the ‘Beyond’ part of Bed, Bath and Beyond. It was wall to wall stuff like Bed, Bath and Beyond… I don’t even know what I am saying anymore, I don’t think I can win this one.
